Radchenko Olga Arkadyevna
The Editorial Council Member
Place of employment: Institute of Biological Problems of the North of the Far Eastern Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences
Specialist in the field of molecular genetics, genosystematics, phylogenetics, evolution of marine and freshwater fish. The results of the scientific work of O. A. Radchenko make a serious contribution to the system of knowledge about the biological diversity of fish. Important generalizations are made in the field of phylogeny, phylogeography and population-genetic structure of the evolutionarily taxonomically complex group of salmon fish-char of the genus Salvelinus. For the first time, a molecular genetic system of a group of marine fish-the Zoarcoidei – has been developed, which makes a significant contribution to solving issues related to the composition and position of genera, subfamilies and families, the systematic affiliation of disputed taxa, kinship relationships and the evolution of a large suborder of perch-like fish.
