Pinchuk Alexei Ilyich
The Editorial Council Member
Place of employment: College of Fisheries and Ocean Sciences, University of Alaska
He has extensive research experience studying various aspects of invertebrate and fish ecology and physiology in relation to biological and physical properties of the environment as well as their role in ocean trophic webs from primary producers to apex predators. The studies of Pinchuk Alexei Ilyich are broadly focused on the mechanisms responsible for variability in large marine ecosystem productivity and trophic structure under changing climate conditions in the Arctic and North Pacific using approaches of remote sensing, field collections and laboratory bioassays. His research contributed to a better understanding of underlying causes of commercial fish distribution and recruitment variability and helped to improve fisheries management practices.
