M. A. Mizyurkin was a participant and leader of many experimental fishing and scientific expeditions in the areas of the Okhotsk, Bering and Japan Seas, in the north-western and central parts of the Pacific Ocean. Currently, he is engaged in research on the operating parameters and catchability of fishing gear used in the extraction and assessment of the number of aquatic biological resources in the North Seas and the justification of the main parameters of a large-sized twin trawl system for sardine, mackerel and other pelagic fish.
