In 1999 and 2002-2013 he worked as an observer and information analyst in the Department of Fisheries of the Falkland Islands, since 2013 he has been working as a senior scientist and chief scientist in Sephas, Great Britain. Member of several ICES working groups (WGCEPH, WGCSE, WGCRAB), EU expert in the EU-Morocco Mixed Fisheries Commission. Elected member of the Cephalopod International Advisory Council (CIAC), member of the editorial board of two international scientific journals.
