Scientific developments and recommendations of B. K. Gabrielyan on the improvement of the fishing system and the rational use of fish stocks are used by the Ministry of Nature Protection in the regulation of fishing, protection and restoration of fish resources of Lake Sevan. In this regard, he is repeatedly elected a member of the fishing councils and licensing commissions under the Ministry.

In 1996-1997, participating in the World Bank's international program on “ Improving the ecological state of Lake Sevan” as the head of the working group, he developed and presented a comprehensive program for the long-term development of the fishing industry in Armenia, which received a positive assessment from the Bank and the Government of the Republic of Armenia.
