1935 - the 1-st and 2-nd volumes of the Trudy VNIRO were published with the titles «Geological research on Novaya Zemlya» and «Works of the ichthyological laboratory»;

1937 – vol. 4 was published, dedicated to the twelve-year work of the «Persey» expedition vessel. It is a book rarity, exists in a single copy and is in special storage at the scientific library of VNIRO;

1941 – Vol. 16 «Reproduction of anadromous and semi-anadromous fish» was the last pre-war issue;

During the Great Patriotic War, the publication was not published.

1951 - The publication was continued with the release of vol. 17 «Materials on the reproduction and development of fish in the northern seas»;

In the 60s, several volumes of the «Trudy VNIRO» and «Izvestiya TINRO» publications were published as a single collection - joint expeditions were carried out in the Far East;

1980 – Vol. 140 «Oceanological research of commercial areas of the World Ocean» was published;

From 1981 to 2001 publications of scientific works of VNIRO did not have their own number;

2002 - Numbered vol. 141 «Ecological physiology and biochemistry of fish in terms of the productivity of water bodies» was published;

2010 – Vol. 149 «International fisheries activities of the Russian Federation at the present stage»;

2013 - The jubilee vol. 150 of the «Trudy VNIRO» was published and the journal was assigned the International Standard Serial Number ISSN.

The scientific journal «Trudy VNIRO» is recognized at the international level.
